Website managers will notice a different layout to their Facebook Activity page templates.
The Activity Feed plugin provided by Facebook has become deprecated and replaced in their new Graph API with the Page Plugin. Unlink the previous plugin which allowed a full width, responsive layout the new plugin sits at a fixed pixel width – maximum 500px.
There are means to allow for responsive sizing on smaller screens and we have re-coded all network sites with the new rules. Unfortunately the maximum width cannot be adjusted so we have aligned it to sit central on the page.
Another difference is the amount of posts available. Where previously all posts were available in a scroll to load fashion, now only the most recent 5 posts are available followed by a link to the related Facebook page.
The commenting system has a slightly different appearance which we think is an improvement being less cluttered than the previous. Flexible and responsive sizing has not been affected in the recent changes.
Though integration seems to have been limited it still serves effectively as a connection between websites and social pages and remain a theme option across the network.
