There are literally hundreds of thousands – even millions – of website operators busy working for their websites, serving them repeatedly, and paying for that “privilege” of service.

"Are

Are you one of them?

You are if you are paying to clean your hacked website, or to fix some code that crashed your page; if you are paying to build an absolutely stunning website, or to appear on the first page of every search engine; and if you are paying extra for extended support, or managed hosting.

Ever since being opened to the public, the Internet has provided an ever increasing venue for information, communication, and collaboration. It has by far eclipsed all prior means of connection to our world and the many others who live here, too. And it has fast become the vehicle for conducting business.

Unfortunately, it has adopted and perpetuated some beliefs along the way that are accepted as true, but what we hold as inaccurate. For although those beliefs are now the status quo, the Nositeunseen network was built upon what we consider more respectful beliefs. Below we have touched on a few of the more glaring, and critical beliefs, and our approach in modifying them.

1

You need to</del> should have a website

Boom! You absolutely do not need a website. Our business is websites so we need you to have a website. Web hosts need you to have a website. Designers and developers need you to have a website. But you were developing your area of expertise, and conducting business, long before you got online. And you have the tools and expertise to continue doing so. In our estimate, this has to do with respect to everyone who has worked to get where they are.

Now that being said, you really should have a website 🙂 Of all the available advertising media, the Internet provides the best value for every spent dollar. Searchers of information most often check the search engines because of their immediacy. Businesses are increasingly receiving new leads and clients through online means. It’s where business is being conducted every minute of every day. It only makes good sense that you take your place within.

Conclusion: You should have a website on the Nositeunseen network where we value and respect your status and accomplishments, and where we appreciate having your business.

2

You are</del> are not responsible for themes and plugins

There was a time when hosting a website meant being responsible for everything placed on the server. A webpage, or document, plugin, or custom module were all the website operator’s accountability. Yet, the majority of website operators were expert in their own field, not in website development, and often found themselves paying out additional costs to fix a hacked website or outdated modules. Typically, once their designer or developer was finished they stepped away and left the site operator to their own.

Understandably the website hosts had to draw the lines on what they can cover and what is too much overhead, but those lines put much more into the website operator’s hands than we think is reasonable. And obviously others think it beyond reasonable also by the rise in maintenance services, and managed hosting, which meant lowered responsibility – but – costs increased, and in many cases of managed WordPress hosting website operators were still having to take on the responsibilities of security and updates for themes and plugins. We believe that the experts should take on the responsibility for the things they are expert at, and develop a way to meet those responsibilities, rather than to pass it off to those who purchase their services.

Conclusion: You are not responsible for themes and plugins on the Nositeunseen network – or for any part of your hosting – because we are.

3

Your website generates</del> helps you generate revenue

Your website does not generate revenue – you do. Your website is a collection of scripts and code that tell it what to do and under which conditions to do it. It does not deviate from that programming. It knows nothing about your area of expertise. It did not put in the hours and accumulate the years of experience you have. It does not generate revenue any more than a pipe wrench generates revenue for a plumber.

Your website does, however, assist you in generating revenue. A shopping cart, or contact form, is available 24/7/365 to process purchases and gather leads. When coded and scripted optimally it is the equivalent to the lumberjack’s sharpened axe – it makes the task easier to accomplish. The programs and modules that comprise the Nositeunseen network were tested and selected with business operators in mind. And each network has support associates experienced in those programs as active members of every network eCommunity. This means having the tools, the support, and the expertise all readily available for your use.

Conclusion: Your website helps you generate revenue because on the Nositeunseen network it was constructed and prepared with you, the business operator, in mind.

4

There are always</del> never unexpected costs to manage your website

A website that is managed should not experience unexpected costs for the simple reason – it’s managed. The website got hacked? We will get that fixed right away and then determine where the vulnerability exists and fix that, too. Priority one on the Nositeunseen network is website operation and up-time. Analysis and causes are secondary. The website operator should not be paying additional costs to get their website fixed or else face being pulled offline. And website operators should not be placed in that position to get hacked in the first place when a hosting environment can provide the protections they need – not just protecting the server, or the WordPress core, but everything.

What about custom design that goes beyond the original requests? Certainly there is no shortage of website operators who have found themselves with an invoice for development services larger than they originally expected. With Nositeunseen, if there is potential for additional costs then options focused on completion will be presented to and approved by the website operator before being implemented. Without approval there is no billing – even if the work was performed. And that goes for any work our associates undertake to assist or benefit a website operator. No approval – no billing.

Conclusion: There are never unexpected costs to managing your website on the Nositeunseen network because we value budgets that can be counted on and strive to facilitate that.

5

Your website has to be stunning</del> attractive

A beautiful website with spectacular graphics and slideshows and videos is not necessary. In fact it’s a lot of effort and time spent with a low return on the investment. Potential clients do not come to your website because it’s dazzling – and if they do they won’t stay for that reason. They come to your website and stay because of what you offer.

So your website does not have to be a beautiful work of art – but it does need to be attractive. It needs to attract the attention of your visitors and hold their interest. A website that conveys its initial message of “this is what we do” in a pleasant and apparent manner is an attractive website. And to assist with that appearance the visual designer in every website on the Nositeunseen network has built in templates that can be implemented with a click and customized to your preferences. They are of a pleasant and premium design, with each targeting their intended audiences. Further to that, the built in SEO facilities provide an additional level of attractiveness as search engines will find the structure to their suitability and inviting for their return.

But you still want some glitz? 🙂 Not a problem. The visual designer includes a variety of plugins and modules that can really jazz up your pages – if you choose. You don’t have to, but you can.

Conclusion: Your website can easily be attractive on the Nositeunseen network, and it can even be stunningly beautiful. But stunning is not a must – the choice for that is yours.

Those are just a few of the mis-beliefs that have perpetuated over time which we estimate place too much of the responsibility for having a website on the website operators … on the business operators. We believe that business operators have enough to do and should be able to just use their website without all the distractions of website maintenance.
